According to the latest rumours, SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have already started work on the next Yakuza game, even though, Yakuza: Like A Dragon, released just a couple of months ago. The rumour surfaced over on 4chan, and it includes some details about the game as well as two alleged screenshots.
The anonymous leaker states that the game will be a spin-off title, based on the story from Yakuza Online, which never released in the West, only in Japan. Additionally, the post includes info about playable characters and one of them is Ryuji Goda. Last but not least, the game will feature locations from both Yakuza 5 and Yakuza 6.
'Seems to be based off the story from Yakuza Online (the japan-only gacha game) Features playable Ryuji Goda and locations from Yakuza 5 and 6.'
Now, here's where things get interesting. The leaker also shared two screenshots which are apparently a direct capture from the game. At the time of writing, these are yet to be debunked so it's entirely possible that we're looking at the legit screenshots from the game.
That being said, we still suggest you take this with a huge grain of salt since it's coming from 4chan. Leaks that surface on the controversial message board are usually fake and this could be just one of the many. Until we get more details from reliable sources, don't take this one too seriously.
